One of my interests in Ancient History. This reaches from the dawn of civilisation in Mesopotamia, through the Bronze age peoples that inhabited Crete, Britain and Ireland, the Hellenic, Egyptian and Roman societies, up to the many nations and races that have spent the first thousand years post-Christ running around western Europe spreading their genes widely. Cultures of interest particularly are:
Babylonians Sumerians Semites Assyrians Cretans Celts (got everywhere in Europe and maybe as far as China) Greeks Egyptians Romans, Angles, Jutes, Saxons, Danes, Celts, Scots (Irish), Picts and all the others that invaded Britain.
Some books of interest: Georges Roux Ancient Iraq. Andrew George The Epic of Gilgamesh, A new translation. Lloyd Laing Celtic Britain. David Rohl Legend, the Genesis of Civilisation.
